When you started your machine quilting business, you probably looked at what other quilters in your area were charging. Then you charged LESS, because you were "the new kid on the block!" That is the WRONG WAY to set your prices!!! In this class you will learn a new way of calculating your prices!

In this class Cindy will talk about -

  • What is a business expense and how is it different from a personal expense?
  • Keeping track of business expenses.
  • A listing of typical business expenses for your business and why they are important.
  • Breaking down these expenses to a "per quilt" expense.
  • Numbers! Numbers! Numbers! Yes, there is a tiny bit of math involved, but it is easy to do. Cindy has done all the "geeky number stuff" and shows you how easily apply this to YOUR business expenses.
  • Re-capturing the cost of your quilting machine over time, and how this affects your business expense equation.
  • How to take this information and USE it in YOUR pricing structure.
  • And a whole lot more, along with an opportunity for questions and answers!

If you are thinking of starting a machine quilting business - you NEED to attend this class!!!

If you already have a machine quilting business - you NEED to attend this class!!!

About Cindy Roth

Cindy Roth has been a professional longarm quilting since 1995. In that time she has seen machine quilting in general, and longarm quilting specifically, become a recognized and accepted alternative to hand quilting. Many prestigious quilting awards have been awarded over the past several years to quilts that have been machine quilted.

During this time of unequalled growth and acceptance of longarm quilting, many machine quilters have, or have been thinking of, starting a machine quilting business.

The actual quilting is the fun part of the business! All the other "stuff" can be dull, boring and tedious, but ..., it needs to be done. And, if it is not done correctly, there can be problems!

Cindy Roth has been machine quilting as a business since 1995. She will give you good, solid, business information and show you how to run your business so you can make a PROFIT - and "profit" is not a bad word!

Cindy can't do the work for you, YOU have to do that, but she will "plant the seeds" of business and give you many ideas that you can implement in YOUR machine quilting business.

In 2001, after 32 years of marriage, Cindy divorced her husband. Since that time, Cindy's ONLY source of income has been from her quilting and her teaching! She is proof that you CAN make a living with a machine quilting business!
