Charging for Thread
in your machine quilting business.

This class is open to anyone interested in starting or expanding their machine quilting business!

As a machine quilting professional, are you charging a separate fee for thread that is being used on your customer's quilt?

If you are not, you should be!

If you do, are you charging enough to cover the cost of your thread? And to make a profit??

Join Cindy Roth, who has been machine quilting as a business for over 25 years in this LIVE, in person, online class as she talks about this subject.

Cindy will talk about -

  • Why you SHOULD be charging for thread used in a quilt.
  • How to determine how much thread is used in any quilt.
  • How to determine the wholesale and retail cost of thread used.
  • How to present this information to your customer, especially if you have not charged for thread in the past.
  • Invoicing thread charges to your customer.
  • And a whole lot more, along with an opportunity for questions and answers!

This is not a class about what kind of thread is best or what thread to use on a quilt. Those are questions that only you can answer.

This is the class that will give you the information YOU need to make YOUR business more profitable!

This class is about  about 60 minutes in length.

This class was recorded LIVE via Zoom and is now available for you to view!

About Cindy Roth

Cindy Roth has been a professional longarm quilting since 1995. In that time she has seen machine quilting in general, and longarm quilting specifically, become a recognized and accepted alternative to hand quilting. Many prestigious quilting awards have been awarded over the past several years to quilts that have been machine quilted.

During this time of unequalled growth and acceptance of longarm quilting, many machine quilters have, or have been thinking of, starting a machine quilting business.

The actual quilting is the fun part of the business! All the other "stuff" can be dull, boring and tedious, but ..., it needs to be done. And, if it is not done correctly, there can be problems!

Cindy Roth has been machine quilting as a business since 1995. She will give you good, solid, business information and show you how to run your business so you can make a PROFIT - and "profit" is not a bad word!

Cindy can't do the work for you, YOU have to do that, but she will "plant the seeds" of business and give you many ideas that you can implement in YOUR machine quilting business.

In 2001, after 32 years of marriage, Cindy divorced her husband. Since that time, Cindy's ONLY source of income has been from her quilting and her teaching! She is proof that you CAN make a living with a machine quilting business!
