How to Quilt a Pantograph - The EASY Way!

This class is open to ALL machine quilters!

Pantograph patterns are a mainstay of the machine quilter. So many machine quilters make stitching pantograph patterns SO much harder than it actually is!

Join Cindy Roth, who has over 20 years of longarm quilting experience, in this online video class as she shows you her "No Math, No Measure" method of pantograph quilting.

In this class, which is over TWO hours in length, you will learn:

  • What you need to do to your pantograph pattern before you begin quilting
  • How to position your pantograph pattern properly
  • How to set up your machine table and laser light for efficient quilting
  • The No Math, No Measure method of pantograph pattern placement and why it works so well!
  • How to efficiently quilt your pantograph patterns
  • How to space the second and subsequent rows of your pantograph pattern for proper pattern placement
  • Common pantograph stitching problems and how to solve them

Pantograph patterns are a mainstay of the machine quilter. Not every quilt needs "super-duper" custom quilting! Not everyone can quilt free hand designs. If you are a beginning quilter, quilting pantographs is a GREAT way to learn how your machine works and pantographs get your quilts finished!

Just a Pantograph - NO WAY!!

An article by Cindy Roth

Pantograph patterns are a mainstay of the machine quilter. Pantograph quilting is the "go to" way to quilt many quilts. Many machine quilters, especially beginning quilters, use pantographs to start a machine quilting business. Pantographs come in an almost limitless number of patterns, styles and types, all of which add texture and design to the finished quilt.

Click on the photo at the left to view a larger view of a well spaced, well quilted pantograph pattern.

When you have a machine quilting business, many of our customers say "Just do something cheap, just do a pantograph on my quilt." My response usually is " Just a cheap pantograph? Not in MY studio?" A pantograph - yes! Cheap? NO!!!

In my humble opinion, a well chosen, well spaced, well quilted pantograph is many times BETTER than poorly done super-duper custom quilting!

Unfortunately, MANY machine quilters just ASSUME that pantograph quilting SHOULD be cheap. NO WAY!

This article shows you with numbers and real life situations how pantograph quilting SHOULD NOT be "cheap" quilting.

You can order your copy of this enlightening article and find out how YOU, as a pantograph quilter, are a SKILLED machine quilter (even if you are a beginner) and should be compensated for your skills!
